The top lever is to the right, it has disc set strikers, gas ports, inlayed gold cocking indicators and a gold S for the safety. They have the original rust blued finish, again with a few scratches, and have engraved barrel wedges, for a nice touch. ![]() ![]() ![]() The barrels lock up tight to the face and ring true. Since I have used this gun for a dozen years, there are now some nicks and scratches to the stock. I have refinished the stock, raised the dents, and coated in a hand-rubbed Pro-Custom Oil. This gun was made in 1973, the year I graduated college. Victor Sarasqueta was the biggest of the Spanish gun makers, in business from 1883 to 1981. It is a Victor Sarasqueta sidelock ejector with 28" barrels and nicely executed acanthus scroll engraving throughout, retaining nearly all of it's original case hardening colors. This was the first of many Basque guns that I have purchased over the years (thank you very much Terry Weiland).The first time I shot it, I scored 23 at trap.
